The idea for this story came to me while visiting someone up the valley from me whose neighbours had an old donkey in a paddock over the fence from their house. Sadly a year later I heard that the donkey suffered a serious mishap and died which prompted me to write a follow up story yet to be published.

Now Shallow Once Steep.
